Notification about the shape refinement of PDU packings
PDU packings will have a minor shape refinement, which does not cause
any adverse affect to sealing performance, to improve production yeild
enhancing the stability of product supply.

The dust-lip tip (non contacting/sliding part) changes its profile slightly.
Sealing performance remains the same while the surface gloss might
vary due to renewal of the manufacturing toolings. |

New series of packings for general-purpose (GP) hydraulic cylinders are now available in Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (HNBR) materials
Sakagami HNBR materials have long been dominating the market of automotive power steering.
In addition to automotive applications, Sakagami
now releases series of HNBR packings for general-purpose hydraulic
cylinders to fulfill the requirements for high speed/high frequency
performance and for chemical compatibility against water polyglycol fluids.
HNBR materials, taking over the characteristic of NBR materials,
possess stable molecular bond that improves sealing performance.
HNBR materials show higher performance comparing to NBR materials
typically by higher heat resistance, weatherbility/ozone resistance,
oil resistance, permanent set, elasticity, abrasion resistance and
mechanical strength.
■ Features: (Improvements in comparison with our GP NBR materials)
・Improved heat resistance by 20 to 30℃ broadens operating
temperature range and extends service life.
・Improved weatherbility/ozone resistance outspreads operating
environments.
・Improved abrasion resistance enhances durability.
・Excellent rubber elasticity offers superior sealing performance.
Range of product covers 2 materials in 3 different profiles making 6
distinct models.

RP902： Material for wider service temperature applications from low
to high temperature environments.

Quality Assurance Department, Sakagami Seisakusho Ltd.
Declination of ISO/TS16949 certification
The company obtained certification of the international standard for
automotive sector, ISO/TS16949 in February 2009.
By implementing ISO/TS16949 in addition to ISO9001, being maintained
since 1997, an enhancement of Quality Management System and an
emphasis of Production Part Approval Process have been practiced.
As the results of the consideration prior to a re-certification audit, we have
concluded that maintaining the certification became unnecessary viewing
the original intention.
We would like to announce the declination of ISO/TS16949 certification as
of the 17th December, 2010.
